Russian leader Putin’s Turkey plan, which recognized Donetsk and Luhansk regions as a state and then occupied these regions, is on the agenda. Turkish researcher and writer Murat Akan talked about Russia’s plan for Turkey.
Here are Murat Akan’s statements:
Putin has a Turkey plan. If Turkey intervenes in Russia within the US-West alliance, Putin will make an agreement with the US in Syria and establish a PKK-YPG State. There is another interesting development. Syria also supports Russia. The same could happen to Syria. As Syria is important, Ukraine is just as important for Turkey.
Russia really has completely surrounded our country from our north. After World War II, the Russians wanted Kars and Ardahan. Putin’s most important plan is to establish a PKK-YPG State in northern Syria. They keep it on the table. They are uncomfortable with Turkey’s sale of UAVs and SİHAs. An incident occurred in Kazakhstan. Then the Russians intervened here. Nazarbayev, for example, was pro-Turkish, he was demoted. The leader they brought now is pro-Russian. Today, Russia concludes an alliance agreement with Azerbaijan. When we look at the Georgia and Ukraine issues, the agreement with Azerbaijan can be dangerous. Turkey is on a very fine line. Putin is never our friend.
You shouldn’t be too confident. We have to be careful so that Russia does not take Ukraine. If it happens, Russia will return to the Black Sea lake. Russia has a trump card… Turkey should follow a very sensitive policy. We shouldn’t be in the foreground. We should not be afraid and panic.
